March 21 is the beginning of spring whale watching season and Depoe Bay offers several ways to get a glimpse of these big guys. You won’t want to miss it, this oceanfront building has Oregon Park rangers waiting to answer all your questions… along with helping you spot your first whale!
If you prefer sitting and gazing for whales all day from your own cozy chair… the Depoe Bay area has many oceanfront vacation rentals to choose from… from romantic little getaways to large family accommodations. Depoe Bay and the surrounding towns of Lincoln Beach, Gleneden Beach and Otter Rock have vacation rentals that provide a great opportunity to do just that… imagine whale watching from your own home away from home! Many vacation rentals are stocked with binoculars, but you might want to pack some just in case.

Many large homes dot the shoreline from Road’s End area to Siletz Bay, some have cliff top views while others have low bank beach access. If you can’t fit everyone into one home, there are usually rental homes close by that can keep your group close together while providing you with some extra privacy too. Here are a few

Or if you are needing a romantic escape… Lincoln City is a great place for that as well! It’s not too late to make plans for your Spring Break Vacation at the Oregon Coast…

If you are looking for things to “keep the kids busy” while on your Oregon Coast vacation here are a few ideas… Seaside, Lincoln City and Newport are a just few of the towns with lots of things for the kids to enjoy, on and off the beach!
