Finding a great beach wedding location is not easy, so we will be posting information to help you locate your ideal spot on the Oregon/Washington Coast during the next several months. You can start making plans by finding a central location for your guests, then find large group accommodations for those who will need overnight lodging.
If you are considering the Southern Oregon Coast, the beautiful town of Bandon has plenty of beach front properties to choose from. There are several vacation rentals near each other that can accommodate large groups of friends and family… Or here’s an awesome wedding service that includes lodging all in one spot! The Seascape Cottages – Neptune & Mermaid… ready to cater to all of your wedding needs… including glassed in rooms 100 feet from the beach ( just in case of bad weather)… a concierge service, minister, music, catering service, flowers, etc… Wow! This custom newly built 4,000 sq/ft duplex has double walls and double pass through doors so two private units can open into a large home and accommodate up to 20 overnight guests… and it’s just 2 minutes to Old Town and 10 minutes to world famous Golf at Bandon Dunes. And to top if off… children and pets are welcome too… so the whole family can enjoy your special day!
I hope this helps you find perfect beach wedding spot… Happy Honeymoon!!

Are you looking to host your family reunion at the Oregon Coast this year? Seaside is a great place to consider as it’s well known for family FUN activities… arcades, bumper cars, bicycle surreys, paddle boats… all kinds of stuff the kids will love and the family can enjoy together.
A great idea to help with lodging are these vacation rental properties from Weiss Paradise Suites & Rentals including two houses and a duplex. This combination works great for reunions of 20-26 people. Having multiple units on one property makes it nice when there is a large number of people and especially when some would like separate accommodations.
If you don’t have quite so many and all want to be in the same house. A Prom House is located ocean front, directly on the famous prom that lines the beach. It will accommodate up to 12, including 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. The home has recently been remodeled with new furnishings to make it even more enjoyable. The bathrooms were totally remodeled March 2008 and even have heated floors! With four bedrooms, two baths and two bonus rooms, a large group can enjoy the 50″ plasma TV or one of the other features such as the rock fireplace, Foosball table, the deck or the enclosed front yard. This home has all of the amenities you might need from WIFI, DVD/VHS players to CD/stereo or cable. (Of course they have washer/dryer, telephone, BBQ, coffee and ice makers, etc:)
If you need to accommodate a larger group… more than 26, many Seaside vacation rentals are near each other and can be rented separately while offering privacy and close proximity. It’s a great way to create a family reunion to remember!

Want to take Fido to the Oregon beach and have beachfront access to? Well, you can! A nice selection of pet friendly vacation rentals in Rockaway offer oceanfront views with sand just outside your door. The whole family can vacation together and not sacrifice ”the view” just because you want to bring Fido. Here’s a favorite on my oceanfront pet friendly getaway list… its called Cozy Beach Front Cottage, complete with a deck, an oceanfront sunroom and a fireplace!
Rockaway Beach is on the North Oregon Coast boasting seven miles of pristine beach for you and ”sandy paws” to explore. It’s a nice little drive (about 7 miles) heading south from Manzanita around Nehalem Bay to Rockaway. You will want to allow time to stop while going through these quaint little towns… especially if you like to hunt for antique treasures… and save your appetite for breakfast or lunch…there is a yummy little restaurant called Wanda’s Cafe & Bakery in Nehalem. The food has been consistently great every time we go, the wait is worth it. Its a fun 50′s retro style that sort of feels like going to Grandma’s house.
And speaking of fun… Rockaway has a site seeing train ride that runs May through November (and I read on their web page) they will allow well behaved leashed dogs too! That could change, so you might want to double check before Fido gets too excited. In May they have the annual Kite festival and in June you can enjoy Wine, Cheese & All that Jazz which includes an all day event of food, wine tasting and dancing… Makes me want to pack up the family and head to Rockaway!
