Pacific Beach, Moclips, Aloha & Seabrook WA~ February 24, 25 & 26

The Chocolate Festival on the Beach was so popular in its fourth year event, that it’s reported visitors and vendors are making their travel plans far in advance for 2012… you haven’t booked your Pacific Beach lodging yet, hurry as the winter storm last year didn’t stop this fun event from surpassing expectations!

Enjoy three miles of chocolate! There are events taking place all the way from Seabrook to Moclips. They also have Two vendor buildings this year. You could say State Route 109 and Ocean Beach Rd./Main St. in Pacific Beach, Is Chocolate Central… then the chocolate ripples out from there.

The Chocolate on the Beach Festival has grown so much that it has become its own entity. Their mission is to unite the North Beach community and businesses by providing a charitable, fun and entertaining experience that would enhance tourism and economic growth through the diversity of chocolate.  A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Museum of the North Beach’s Moclips Depot Rebuilding Project.

The Local Business community welcomes you to entertain your taste buds all weekend long, with special Chocolate Menus and Events!

Located on the Olympic Peninsula~ Pacific Beach is a scenic wonder with 200 foot high red clay cliffs, ancient forests, and spectacular beaches that are among the largest and longest in the world…  known for its beautiful ocean views, surf fishing and clam digging, it’s a great place to vacation on the Washington Coast.  For lodging with an ocean view,  you’ll find plenty of choices on our Pacific Beach vacation rentals page… enjoy!

Pacific Beach was first settled in 1863 and was first called Joe Creek. In 1903 the Pacific Beach name was adopted. Originally a saw mill town, Pacific Beach has always been a resort destination. Today the Kite Festival and Sand Sculpture Contest are among the popular Annual Events.

Moclips is to the north of Pacific Beach & Copalis is to the south

Moclips~  a hub for activities such as fishing and cycling to hiking and salt water sports. From Moclips it is a short drive to Lake Quinault, the rain forest and Olympic National Park. Moclips is also home to the “Kelpers Parade” which occurs on the Sunday before Labor day every year.

Copalis~ “Home of the Razor Clam”  The community sits near the northern end of probably the greatest razor clam bed in the world. The main attraction though isn’t the clam… it’s the wide sandy beach!
