Manzanita is a resort community settled at the base of Neahkahnie Mountain. According to Indian legend, the mountain was the home of a god called E-Kan-Ni. Five miles of sand stretch from the Nehalem River mouth to majestic Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain. you can see almost endless beach with no development of any kind.
This secluded seaside community of 500 has a 9-hole golf course. The Manzanita golf course is an easy-walking course with tree-lined fairways. The driving range is only open May through September, but the course itself is open year round.
