Tucked away off the main highway, Neskowin is a closely guarded secret among the people who return year after year to rent a cabin in the charming village or book an oceanfront vacation rental. 

Watch the ocean come in on a stormy winter day or view the spectacular sunsets in the summer from your beach rental. Located between Tillamook County and Lincoln City this area offers a variety of activities from river and ocean fishing to golfing, bicycling, birding, kayaking and surfing.

You will find glass (vases, bowls, goblets, glasses, serving platters, etc.), wall art (oil on canvas, wood carvings, metal art, mixed media, photography and more), pottery (mugs, bowls, plates, wall vases, sea creatures, sculptures, etc.), jewelry (bracelets, necklaces, lampwork bead jewelry, dicronic glass necklaces, etc.) and various other forms of art including wood carving, chess sets, wood boxes, bells, silk scarves and more. There are a variety of activities. The foremost is fishing. With the Big Nestucca running through the middle of town, many of the best catches on the Oregon Coast are in walking distance from your Pacific City vacation home. Town Lake is stocked heavily in the spring and summer with nice trout waiting for you to catch. You can also go crabbing, clamming, bird watching, whale, marine and mammal animal watching.

Do you enjoy photography? There are spectacular sunsets, wildlife, trees, flowers, boats, not to mention the beach and cape to capture on film.

With three beach accesses, you can explore the beach or the Cape Kiwand Marine Gardens with its tidal pools and interesting sandstone formations. The ramp from the parking lot to the water makes it easy access for the handicapped and wheelchairs. From there you can go beach combing or fly a kite. For the more adventurous, you can go hang gliding and paragliding from Cape Kiwanda dune.

Other activities include surfing and golfing. Watch the dunes from your beach rental ro explore the Cape Kiwand dune. You can also go picnicking, hiking and backpacking over the abundant trails. Cascade Head is a favorite place.

You can bring your bike, canoe, kayak or motor boat. You can go horseback riding. For off road vehicles, you can go to nearby Sandlake ORV Recreation Area. It has dunes the size of mountains. if you don’t own an off road vehicle, you can rent one.
