The layout of this cliff-top home gives you ocean views from every room, including the living room, dining area, kitchen and both bedrooms. Buttery leather sofas range around the great room’s white brick hearth with its wood fireplace; a TV/DVD will keep you entertained when you aren’t looking out the windows or enjoying the ocean breeze on the railed deck, where guests report viewing whales and eagles.
Invite friends to join you—with a bedroom and bath on each end of the home, you’ll enjoy both togetherness and privacy. The wind-screened deck in the front of the home lets you soak up sun even when it’s windy.

Things to See & Do
As you drive south of Newport, a collection of huge offshore rocks, including the imposing Elephant Rock, will loom into view. You’re in the seaside village of Seal Rock, a five-mile stretch of sandy, rocky and sea-stack-studded beach. A resort location since the 1880’s, Seal Rock has uncrowded beaches, awe-inspiring off-shore rock formations, a fascinating geologic history and exciting bird and wildlife sites. Explore tide pools when the waves go out or watch crashing surf during a storm. Collect clams or mussels for dinner or enjoy the galleries, glassblowing and tasty treats on an afternoon stop along this accessible and spectacular stretch of beach.
Awesome location right on top of the beach. This cute house is not fancy, but very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. Fireplace was a bonus (bring lots of wood.) Everything worked, beds and furniture were comfy, lots of blankets and towels. We were warm and cozy and really enjoyed our winter stay. Great location, and just a short hop into Newport or Waldport. Thanks for sharing your house with us - It was so relaxing! —Linda
