Glass Beach is one of Fort Bragg’s most recognizable attractions. Formerly a coastal dumping area, decades of wave action transformed discarded glass into colorful sea glass that can still be seen along the shoreline. The beach is accessible from the Coastal Trail, and visitors are encouraged to leave the glass where it is so future generations can enjoy it.

The Coastal Trail follows the dramatic bluffs along the Pacific Ocean and provides beautiful views of the coastline. It is a great place for walking, photography, wildlife watching and enjoying a Mendocino Coast sunset.

Noyo Harbor is the heart of Fort Bragg’s fishing community. Watch fishing boats come and go, enjoy fresh local seafood and take in views of the Noyo River meeting the Pacific Ocean.

Located just north of Fort Bragg, the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens features gardens, native plants and spectacular coastal scenery. The gardens are especially beautiful during spring and summer when many plants are in bloom.

Step aboard the historic Skunk Train for a scenic journey through the redwoods. The train travels through the forest along the historic route between Fort Bragg and Willits, offering visitors a memorable way to experience the redwood country.

Pudding Creek Beach sits just north of downtown Fort Bragg and offers a beautiful stretch of sand surrounded by coastal bluffs and forest. It is a peaceful spot for walking, photography and enjoying the ocean.

Just north of Fort Bragg, MacKerricher State Park features beaches, coastal trails, forest, wetlands and opportunities to see wildlife. The park is also a popular location for whale watching during migration season.

Downtown Fort Bragg is filled with locally owned shops, galleries, restaurants and small businesses. Spend an afternoon exploring Main Street, then enjoy dinner featuring seafood and other locally inspired dishes.

The Mendocino Coast is an excellent place to look for migrating gray whales. The coastal bluffs and beaches around Fort Bragg provide numerous viewpoints, particularly during the winter and spring migration seasons.

Fort Bragg hosts festivals and community events throughout the year, including whale watching celebrations, art walks, seafood events, craft fairs, holiday celebrations and the annual Paul Bunyan Days. The town’s First Friday Art Walk takes place monthly in downtown Fort Bragg and features galleries, live music and activities.
