An indoor Duralog fireplace makes the living room extra cozy, and the dining/sitting room, with its telescope and chairs pointed at the sea, gives you breathtaking, panoramic views to the south, west, and north, including Twin Rocks.
You can scramble right down the rocks at the edge of the backyard to miles of level, sandy beach, and surf, putting beach-walking right out your back door.
Close by is the entertaining town of Rockaway Beach, where you can sample smoked salmon, shop for treasures, or ride a historic steam engine to Garibaldi and back. You’re a short distance by car to Manzanita, Cannon Beach, and Seaside to the north or Tillamook to the south, with loads of wonderful cape views and hiking in between. Absolutely delightful! We are looking forward to staying here again. Lives bigger then the square feet listed. Most of the sq feet of the house is in the living spaces. It’s the little things that really made this house amazing for us. Like the empty wicker basket by the back door my kids were obsessed with that became our toy bin. The empty laundry basket for dirty clothes. The scope on a tripod in the living room is perfect for bird watching and moon We truly felt at home and comfortable. The access to the beach is one house down. The sand bar makes a nice shallow river of not too cold water for kids to play in during low tide.
