Cliff House - Waldport - Hot Tub, Large Groups

“An mazing place to stay. The tidal effect on the beach and bay is really dramatic. Hot tub overlooking the sunsets was a favorite. Being able to grill while being wind protected and watching the waves is quite an experience. Getting the 50 or so vertical feet down to the actual sandy beach does require a bit of skill on a path 2 doors down. Note this path may not be suitable for people with mobility challenges. The internet speed was 300M by 300M making it great for “working” from remote. The kitchen was well set up - I made a soufflé in the oven. I stayed in the “mother in law” suite which requires going outside of the main house and up some stairs - not a big deal for me but perhaps a heads up for some- especially if the weather is not 10 out of 10 while you are staying there. That said, I really liked the MiL suite, it was a great way to have additional privacy from the group. Heads up, the MiL is not heated/cooled so be the type that enjoys open windows and the awesome sound of the beach at night - I am!! The power to the gazebo wasn’t working while we are there- when I contacted support they got back to me right away (!) and said they were working on it. hopefully it comes back online soon.. I know some of the comments I read touched on the upkeep. Keep in mind that It’s a place on Oregons ocean coast (literally). I can only imagine that keeping the place perfect on the outside is a constant man verses Mother Nature siege. Know this while Enjoying the view!!! The inside was relaxing and perfect and my extended family got a chance to spend a lot of memorable, quality time for my mother’s 80th birthday.”

“Beautiful ocean front home. We were a large group of 13 celebrating birthdays and early Christmas. We did a lot of cooking and the home was very well stocked.beautiful ocean views from all over the home. Beds were very comfortable.”

“We loved everything about our stay here. None of us wanted to leave! The house was perfect for our gathering with our 3 grown children and their spouses. Plenty of space and everyone had a nice room. The large, open family room/kitchen was ideal. The walk to the beach was easy - this has to be one of the nicest beaches in Oregon. The wildlife was so entertaining and high tide/low tide was fun to watch. Waldport offered everything we wanted, cute shops, fresh crab, a wonderful bakery and very nice people. Thank you for all of that!”

“Retreat With Friends This is a wonderful place to watch the winter storms blow in. The home is spacious and comfortable for 9 adults. Everything was clean and in working order. We were glad that we brought firewood for the woodstove, as the mornings and evenings were a bit chilly. The lap blankets were also much appreciated.”
