You’ll find updates galore in this comfortable, single-level bay-view home in the quiet residential neighborhood of Bayshore. Wonderful views of seals and crab boats and the soaring Alsea Bay Bridge are available from the living room and the master bedroom, and it’s an easy walk to the bay or beach. You can watch the game on the large flat-screen Smart TV with Roku from the new oversized sofas—plus there’s a good collection of DVDs for the Blu-ray player.
The bright, fully equipped kitchen has a butcher block island, inset lighting, and pretty parquet flooring, making food prep convenient and enjoyable. You’ll love the king master bedroom suite with its large flat-screen TV and slider to the deck; the second master king bedroom’s adjoining space includes a single and trundle bed great for kids.
The kids will stay busy with the home’s beach toys, Bayshore’s playground, and a swim in the Bayshore Beach Club’s seasonal pool. Things to See & Do
The soaring Alsea Bay Bridge takes you over vast expanses of sand and the Alsea River estuary as you enter Waldport from the north. The bridge is a 1990s replacement of a historic Conde McCullough bridge from the 1930s—the visitor center on the town side of the bridge tells the fascinating engineering story. Waldport is easy to explore on foot, but you might want to partake of two unique modes of transportation: a free bike rental from Green Bike Co-op or a kayak excursion with the student-run Kayak Shack. Crunch a crusty baguette from Pacific Sourdough Bakery as you browse the antique and tourist shops along the bay front, dig in the sand for clams or enjoy a round of golf at Crestview Golf Club. Soaring vistas of sea, sand and sky are ever-present however you decide to spend a day at Waldport. You’ll find everything from golf to lighthouses to museums within a half hour of your door; the award-winning Oregon Coast Aquarium is just 20 minutes north.
