A warm cozy home best describes this Seaside Oregon property. We recently completed the remodeling of the whole house. The marble and granite counter tops throughout the house and the hardwood floors in the living room make it even more comfortable. The river rock gas fireplace adds to the warm atmosphere with spectacular unobstructed panoramic ocean views out every window for storm watchers and migrating whale followers. Being right on the famous Promenade allows you to watch the surfers and the passers-by as well.

The home has recently been remodeled with new furnishings to make it even more enjoyable. The bathrooms were totally remodeled and even have heated floors. The kitchen was completely remodeled and has tiled floors, new counter tops, as well as other amenities. We remodeled the upstairs with a new trundle bed and other furnishings. We totally remodeled the basement with new flooring, a gas fireplace and mounted the 50" flat screen HDTV on the wall for all those sports enthusiasts and movie watchers.

With five bedrooms, two baths and a "Man Cave" retro bar, a large group can enjoy the 50" TV or one of the other features such as the rock fireplace, foosball table, the deck or the enclosed front yard.

This home has all of the amenities you might need from WIFI, DVD/VHS players, Satellite TV. You can connect your phone to the surround sound throughout the house as well as outside on the patio! We of course have a washer/dryer, telephone, BBQ (both propane and briquet), coffee and ice makers, etc. A portable crib and high chair are also available. Please bring the bedding for the crib as it is not provided.

    Reviews

The Prom House is a lovely, vintage home that is perfectly located on the Seaside Promenade. It is just a short path away from a perfect, uncrowded beach which has the perfect sand for castle building and the perfect wind for kite flying. Three generations of our family gathered here from all over the northwest to enjoy a perfect week. The home had everything our family needed and after all of our adventures of hiking, visiting the Tide Pools, and exploring around Seaside, we were always so happy to come back to our home on The Prom. Jerry was professional, helpful and very prompt answering any of our questions or concerns. The Prom house was the perfect setting for a week we will always remember!

"We were delighted to stay at A Prom House in Seaside, a home for our far-flung family to gather and share Christmastide. Check in was easy and efficient, check-out likewise. There was a cheery Christmas tree in the living room, bright garland lights on the fireplace mantel and festive touches throughout. The house is well-situated on the south end of Seaside's Promenade, close enough for a walk to town to tour the galleries and shops but removed from the bustle and noise and small cafes and a Mom-and-Pop market are a short walk away. The ocean view from the dining room/kitchen in particular held us fascinated, we enjoyed morning coffee, afternoon tea and happy family meals with a superlative Pacific Ocean view. The living room's beautiful river rock gas fireplace kept us snug as we visited and the downstairs "Man Cave" kept the guys happy as they viewed the Bowl games - a perfect set-up. This vintage home is well-maintained and lovingly upgraded, we especially enjoyed the sound system! The kitchen is well-stocked and the whole house was spotless and comfortable. Be aware that there are narrow stairs to upstairs and downstairs areas (safe handrails all around), and the Kids Room is a large open area at the top of the upstairs (a kiddie-gate was available, as needed.) We would recommend this wonderful place and hope to return again. Thanks to our kind hosts for sharing this memorable home on the Prom!"

"We have been meeting up with family (which has now grown to 12) every other Thanksgiving for over 10 years. This house was, by far, the best! Clean, comfortable, well stocked large kitchen. The owner was wonderful - responded to all my inquiries rapidly AND, once he sent me the Check-in instructions, actually followed it up with a personal phone call. We will definitely be back!!!"

"The house had a beautiful view out onto the ocean waves. Just a short walk on a path and we were on the beach. The gas fireplace in the living room was so cozy on a stormy day and perfect for just sitting and looking out the window. The house comfortably fit our large family and there were plenty of seating options for everyone. We also liked the large outdoor benches on the front of the house. The kitchen was fairly well equipped for our cooking needs. The bathrooms were nicely decorated and we especially appreciated the heated floor in the downstairs bathroom."

"Excellent communication from owner prior to arrival and during our stay. Location can't be beat walking to town on the Prom or straight out the front door to the beach. 2 block walk to a very good cafe for breakfast and restaurant. House was clean with plenty of parking and all amenities needed. We will return again!"

"We had such a lovely time at the Prom House! Jerry was so obliging and easy to work with. The house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. We were all comfortable, warm, and quite relaxed. The teenagers had their space in the "man cave" and the adults were well settled in the comfortable living room. The sofa in the living room is the perfect napping couch! We will definitely book this house again!"

"The Prom house was just right for our family get together. The view from the dining table is spectacular! We could watch the weather move into shore with sun, rain and a beautiful a rainbow. It was nice when the weather didn't allow going to the beach we could enjoy it from the comfort of a warm house. The beach is a short walk down path from the house which you can see from the window. And the prom is just outside the gate. This wonderful path is great for walking or riding a bike and is enjoyable in itself with the beautiful view of the ocean. It also takes you on an easy walk to Seasides great shops and restaurants.

It was a pleasant surprise to find that a Christmas tree was already up and decorated in the living room so we didn't need to put up our little tree. This and the cozy fire made our celebration very home-like. It was cold while we were there and the house heated up nicely and the heated floors in the bathrooms were especially appreciated.

The kitchen was stocked with all the pans and dishes we needed for preparing our meals and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms. It was nice to have the washer and 2 dryers available in the basement to keep up with laundry. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets if needed.

Jerry was easily contacted from the reservation process and throughout our stay. We would recommend this home for a family gathering any time of year."
