As you turn onto the street to park in one of the home’s dedicated parking spots, you can feel the worries of the day start to lift as you gaze out at the ocean beyond the end of the block. The sounds of ocean waves and gulls welcome you as you walk through the zen-like patio where a cozy seating area is serenaded by the sound of a trickling fountain. You’ll also find a Blackstone griddle here where you can relax at the end of the day while grilling up some fresh-off-the-boat salmon or locally grown veggies.

Stepping through the front door invokes feelings of being in a relaxing spa. A cozy entry invites you to take off your shoes and stay a while and the laundry room just beyond is the perfect spot to leave your sandy beach clothes or towels until you’re ready to wash them later. Beyond the entry, the room opens up into a lovely open living area with high ceilings graced by hand-hewn wooden beams. Beautiful art fills the space and a picture frame tv perched above the fireplace invites you to enjoy a night or two in during your visit. The living area also features large windows with comfy window seats offering views down the street to the ocean beyond. In this area, you’ll find a couch and cozy chairs where your friends or family can relax after morning walks along the beach or afternoons wandering the shops downtown.

The open living area extends through a small dining area with seating for four to six to a gorgeous kitchen beyond. Beautifully appointed, it features a coffee station, gas range and plenty of space for an aspiring chef to spread out and truly enjoy the preparation of a gourmet meal for your group.

At the back of the living area, you’ll discover the first of the home’s two bedrooms. Beautifully decorated, this cozy space holds a lush queen-sized bed, with bedside tables and a closet for tucking your things away. Next door, the luxuriously finished bathroom offers a large vanity and gorgeous walk-in shower. The high ceilings and hand-hew beams extend into both of these rooms as well, continuing that feeling of being in a relaxing spa.

Back through the entry, a stairway graced by more wonderful art pieces draws you to the second level of the home, where you’ll find enough lovely amenities to enjoy some time away from your group if you like during your stay. Almost immediately at the top of the stairs, you’ll find a door leading to one of the upper level’s two decks, which holds another table where four adults could comfortably eat outside while keeping an eye out for the local elk herd to wander down the main street…it happens! Back inside and just across from the door to the deck, you’ll find a cozy office area in case there’s a few tasks you just can’t leave behind or perhaps making this your remote work location for a while.

Just beyond the doorways to the office and deck, the room opens up into another complete living area. Also elegantly designed with more stunning artwork, this cozy space features a comfy seating area with a tv, a lovely reading nook and another small window seat where you can bask in the sunlight. Just outside this area is the second deck, which is protected by a clear windbreak and holds two tall chairs and just enough space to enjoy coffee or wine from your perch with wonderful views across the rooftops to the ocean beyond.

At the back of this level’s living area, you’ll find the second of the home’s two bedrooms where a luxurious king-sized bed waits for you to melt after a soul-restoring day along the shore. Two bedside tables and a closet offer room to tuck your things away and the adjacent bathroom holds a large vanity and a tub large enough for soaking your cares away.

Centrally located between Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach’s main shopping areas, you can choose your own adventure from this luxuriously finished home along Hemlock Street. Whether you want to take in the tidepools at the Rock; check out the history center and galleries in midtown; or wander through the village’s absolutely charming downtown area…everything you need is truly a short walk away. Or you may just find enough cozy luxury inside this home that you prefer to enjoy an expertly prepared meal there, followed by a sunset beach stroll, wine on the deck, a soak in the tub and a book by the fireplace.
