Ocean-front and awe-inspiring, Hayven is more than a beautiful home on the beach, it is a heavenly sanctuary that brings Nature and comfort together.
As you approach this magnificent 5 bedroom, 5 & 1/2 bath home, you will delight in the spacious driveway and entry.
Enter the front door and step into the foyer where you will be greeted by creamy beach tones and wood flooring which echo throughout the home. The foyer will lead you down a long hallway where, on your left, you will find the first of Hayven’s 5 bedrooms. This is a spacious room with a king size bed, charming artwork, and a comfy reading chair.
Across the hall is a laundry room with a washer/dryer, full sink, and tons of extra cabinet space. A little further down the hall, you will come to Hayven’s second downstairs bedroom — specially designed with the kids in mind — which holds two twin bunkbeds. Opposite the kid’s room, you will find the third downstairs bedroom, where a snug reading chair and a comfy queen bed create a wonderful refuge.
**It should be noted here that every bedroom in Hayven is ensuite (includes a private bathroom). There are four showers and one bathtub on property**
At the end of the hallway, you will enter an open living space. Large windows immediately reveal an exquisite ocean view. On your left, is a well-appointed kitchenette with an electric stove, fridge, dishwasher and granite countertops. There is also a rustic, ocean facing breakfast bar that seats four. The picturesque ocean view will draw you into the sitting area, where a large couch and two plump sitting chairs await you.
If you are able to take your eyes off the waves, you will even notice a large, flat-screen TV attached to the gas lit, stone fireplace. Wander across the sitting area and discover the downstairs ocean-front bedroom. In this room, replete with a king bed, two sitting chairs, and a view of the resplendent seascape, you will relax as you are rocked to sleep by the soft sound of the gentle tide.
Journey back through the hallway and climb the stairs to the second floor of this grand home. Up here, you will discover a glorious world. Step forward, from the top of the stairs, and enter the hub of the home which has an open great-room concept with combined kitchen, living space, dining space and miles of ocean views.
Prepare a meal while gazing out at the sea, enjoying the gas burning stove, large island, sleek granite counter tops, Sub Zero fridge and, perhaps most importantly: the wine-cooler — so that those starry Cannon Beach evenings can be enjoyed properly. Or enjoy a cup of coffee while sitting at the breakfast table overlooking Haystack Rock.
Later on, snuggle up on the overstuffed sofas and watch a movie on the large, flat-screen TV or gather around and play some family board games. Or head over to the indoor shuffleboard located in the den directly off of the kitchen for hours of fun. If it’s a cool coastal night, enjoy the ease of a gas lit fire in the centrally located stone fireplace.
For the times when you want to catch up on a book (while glancing at the water between pages), or simply need to take a nap, the oversized and incredibly soft chaise lounge chairs are just the spot for you. When it’s time for your large group to come together, the lovely dining room which features a large, round table seating up to 12, will make it easy to see the faces of loved ones as you enjoy sumptuous meals and relive the stories of yesterday’s beach adventures.
As you make your way toward the other side of the upstairs level, you will pass the half-bath powder room in the landing area before entering Hayven’s upstairs master bedroom. This bedroom is impressive. Not only will you be greeted by a king bed and two sitting chairs, you will have a writing desk and living space complete with a sofa-bed, large, flat-screen TV, and gas fireplace. The master bathroom is unique with vintage cabinets and stone, offering a sitting bench, two commodes, a double vanity, and a lovely natural stone shower. It’s a good thing the ocean is outside, or you may want to stay in this oasis for your entire trip.
Hayven has plenty of wonderful places for you to enjoy outside as well. Visit with friends on the large, expansive main floor deck. Snuggle up next to the gas burning fire table for sunsets, or make s’mores in the protected firepit carved into the sea wall directly above the sands of Cannon Beach, (just a few more steps down). Whatever you do, you will be accompanied by the sounds of seagulls, the smell of salt air, and the roaring of the ocean waves.
