Welcome to The Cedar House, located in Otter Rock! This gorgeous, oceanfront property boasts amazing ocean views with two stories, four bedrooms and two baths and room for up to eight guests! You can even bring your favorite four legged pup with you! Sitting on an acre of land, you and your family will feel like the only people for miles around! Park the car, grab your bags, and head inside!
Upon entering the home via the wood deck, you'll find yourself in a cozy room featuring the living room, dining room, and kitchen. A couch sits facing the kitchen area, while a large flat screen TV sits nearby. Cozy up with your loved ones and enjoy a movie together while dinner cooks! The dining room table can seat all of your guests, or you can enjoy a quick bowl of cereal or some morning coffee at the kitchen counter. You'll be able to make anything you like during your stay at Gulls Nest. The kitchen offers guests a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and oven/stovetop. *Please note that this home does not have a dishwasher.
Down the hallway, you'll find the first two bedrooms and their shared bathroom. The bathroom is complete with a shower/tub combo. Both rooms come with queen beds and TVs, so feel free to enjoy a late night show before drifting to sleep!
Head back to the living room and head upstairs to find the two additional bedrooms. The first room comes with a twin and full bed, perfect for any children in your group, while the second offers guests a king bed. The second bathroom is also on this floor, shared between both bedrooms, with a shower/tub combo. The king bedroom even offers guests their own private balcony to enjoy the ocean views. The back deck offers guests outdoor furniture and a propane BBQ to enjoy during the warm summer months.

There are many surf shops located in town if a traveler needs equipment or supply replenishment.travel south into Newport to explore the Nye Beach area for amazing food and shops to search through. The Oregon Coast Aquarium is perfect for all ages to explore! Head north into Lincoln City, and walk the beach during the months of October through May to try your luck at finding a glass float. You find it, you keep it. You can also explore the Lincoln City Outlets for that perfect gift or souvenir.

The setting of the Cedar House is quite remarkable. It sits at the end of a private road/drive in a stand of large trees, and overlooks the beach. There is nothing fancy about the house (some might call it dated or old fashioned), but it provides a comfortable and very relaxing experience. The wood stove was easy to use and was very effective at warming the house on a damp chilly day ( the regular heating units also worked well if you don’t want to bother with starting a fire). There is a steep bit at the end of the path to the beach, but the ropes worked just fine (you might want to bring some gloves for this) and the effort is well worth it. The short (about four feet) climb down would be a challenge for someone with mobility issues, The beach, which you can see and hear from the house, was really enjoyable and not busy at all (during the week, we were often the only people there). We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely return for another visit. —by Anonymous

This rustic cabin is such a classic coast experience - nothing fancy or updated,but you'll find everything you need. The beds are even pretty comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked, but just know there is no dishwasher. The view is superb and it's just a short walk down to the beach. This is on a steep hill, so not appropriate for the elderly or anyone with mobility issues. We enjoyed the wood stove-just know that you'll need to bring your own wood (not enough provided). The back upstairs bedroom is a bit musty, but otherwise everything was comfortable. I agree with others that there's only one sofa in the living room so difficult for everyone to gather together without sitting in hard chairs. Check-in was super easy and the staff super helpful! House is wonderfully located, with a very short walk down to the beach. The house itself is a little strange in its layout but cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and the view. Beds were comfortable and being able to hear the Pacific from the bedroom was an added plus. —by Anonymous
